Procedure for Vat Registration


General procedure : Applicants seeking MVAT registration are required to furnish general information in relation to nature of business, description of the product to be manufactured/ traded by the proprietor or the Business entity

Documents Required : Every Applicant must have Permanent Account Number (PAN). Other documents required includes: - proof of Address of Place of business and Personal Residential address of the person representing the entity, Copy of Bank Statement or Passbook and One Blank Cheque with MICR Code duly signed and cancelled by applicant, Copy of Shop Act License of Business entity, Letter of Authority in Form 709 in our favour & Two Recent passport size photos.. Along with this E-mail and mobile number of the proprietor or the legal entity is also required.

Additional documents in case of companies :

  • Memorandum of Association, Articles of Association and Certificate of Incorporation
  • Copy of board resolution appointing one Director to sign on behalf of company and be present at the time of registration of VAT and CST, on letter head of company duly signed and sealed by all remaining Directors.

Online Application : After verification of above mentioned documents  we will proceed to file online Application for MVAT registration at

Fees Structure : Once the Online Application process is completed Applicant has to pay fees for MVAT registration

  • Govt. Challan Fee Rs. 5000/- D.D. in favour of “State Bank of India, MVAT Account” Payable at “NASHIK”
  • (For Voluntary registration) Rs. 500/- (For other than voluntary registration)
  • Govt. VAT deposit (only for Voluntary Registration) Rs. 25000/-

Final Process : Applicant has to visit the Sales Tax Department. All the above mentioned documents are required to be kept in original for one time Verification. Then within a time of a week, MVAT/CST registration Certificate will be received.
